MONGIL: STAR DIVE Introduces New 5-Star Character Nagi
Netmarble has announced a new update for its monster-taming action RPG MONGIL: STAR DIVE, introducing the new 5-star character Nagi alongside limited-time events and an early preview of the upcoming Version 1.2 update.
Known as the Whitefire Shaman, Nagi is an important character in the game’s evolving storyline and serves as the charismatic leader of the serpent-human tribe. Her story also connects to her rivalry with Mina, as Nagi believes her own abilities surpass Mina’s and plays a central role in the conflict between the two characters.
Nagi Joins as a Wind Destroyer Character
Nagi is a Wind-element Destroyer who uses a fan as her main weapon in battle.
Her combat style focuses on controlling the battlefield by launching enemies into the air and setting them up for powerful follow-up attacks. This gives her a strong crowd-control role, especially for players who want to manage enemy positioning during real-time battles.
Her ultimate skill, Abyssal Descent, creates a flower bud that pulls enemies together before blooming. The attack deals heavy damage, launches targets airborne, and applies an effect that makes enemies more vulnerable to Wind damage.
Limited-Time Events Celebrate Nagi’s Arrival
To celebrate the update, players can join a special three-week event focused on obtaining Nagi.
The update also adds a special story event titled Nagi: Those Who Show No Respect Are Guilty, which reveals more of the hidden story behind the character.
Players can earn event currency by clearing missions and event dungeons. These can then be exchanged for different rewards, including summon tickets and progression materials.
More Rewards Through Nagi Events
Netmarble has also prepared additional events tied to Nagi’s arrival.
These include Special Missions with Nagi and the 7-Day Gift Event from the Whitefire Shaman Nagi. Both events give players more chances to collect rewards throughout the event period.
For players already invested in character growth, these limited-time rewards should help support progression while giving more focus to the new 5-star character.
Version 1.2 Preview Reveals Future Improvements
Before the update, representatives from Netmarble and Netmarble Monster held a livestream on June 16 to introduce Nagi and preview the upcoming Version 1.2 update.
During the livestream, the team showed planned quality-of-life improvements, including the dispatch system and key customization features for mobile. The broadcast also revealed new summer-themed characters that will arrive in a future update.
These previews suggest that Netmarble is continuing to improve both gameplay convenience and seasonal content for the game.
