Mr. Karate Joins City of the Wolves with Anime Fury
Mr. Karate has officially entered FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves as the next DLC fighter for Season 2, and SNK is celebrating his arrival with a special anime episode created by legendary animator Masami Obari.

Marco Rodrigues struggles to hold the line, even with Terry Bogard stepping in to help. However, the Hungry Wolf understands that this battle belongs to the warriors of Kyokugen. That is when he calls for reinforcements.
Enter Mr. Karate.
Wearing his iconic tengu mask and riding his trusted motorcycle, the fearsome face of Kyokugen storms into the scene with overwhelming force. The short promises intense action, strong impact, and the kind of bold visual expression that Masami Obari is known for.

Masami Obari brings classic Fatal Fury energy
Masami Obari is a Japanese anime director, animator, and mechanical designer. He also serves as president of G-1NEO Studio.
Obari has worked on several well-known anime projects and has built a strong global fanbase through his powerful visual direction, dramatic poses, and expressive animation style. His work has also influenced many creators in the anime industry.
His connection to Fatal Fury runs deep. Obari served as character designer and chief animation director for the TV anime Fatal Fury: Legend of the Hungry Wolf and its sequel The New Battle. He also directed Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture.
Beyond this new anime short, Obari has also created special works for THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV and FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves.
FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves keeps Season 2 moving
FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves is SNK’s latest fighting game entry, bringing the legendary series back with modern systems and bold visual style.
The game combines accessible controls with intense action and deeper strategic options. Its new REV System gives players more ways to pressure opponents, extend offense, and create exciting match momentum.
The game also features a striking art direction, online play supported by Rollback Netcode, cross-platform support, and Episodes of South Town, a single-player RPG-style mode designed to expand the game’s world.
Season 2 continues to build the roster with new DLC fighters and balance improvements. Current Season Pass 2 content includes Kim Jae Hoon, Nightmare Geese, Blue Mary, Wolfgang Krauser, Mr. Karate, and the upcoming Kenshiro.

Season Pass 2 includes Mr. Karate as part of the current DLC lineup, with Kenshiro scheduled to follow in June 2026. SNK notes that DLC character schedules may change when necessary.
