The Philippine Collegiate Championship Ignites Passion with PCC Season 4 Launch

The countryโ€™s premier collegiate esports league expands to Visayas and Mindanao, introducing a third game in its lineup and immersive student programs.

Manila, Philippines, May 12, 2026: The Philippine Collegiate Championship (PCC) officially kicked off its fourth season today at the Marco Polo Hotel, unveiling a bold vision to empower the next generation of Filipino student gamers. Under the theme “Siklab ng Puso” (Spark of the Heart), the league aims to ignite the passion, skills, and drive of collegiate athletes across the country as it solidifies its position as the premier collegiate esports league in the Philippines.

With Official Presenter Converge ICT Solutions, the launch event formally introduced the strategic direction for PCC Season 4, highlighting an expansion into the Visayas and Mindanao regions. This yearโ€™s program aims to reach over 1,000 schools nationwide, providing students with unique competitive platforms and educational opportunities that bridge the gap between classroom learning and the gaming industry.

Representatives from gaming publishers Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Call of Duty Mobile were present during the press conference and shared their enthusiastic support as well as integrated plans for Season 4 of the Philippine Collegiate Championship. Among the guests were Ms. Ana Dulce B. Yango, Project Lead of the Sports Development and Management Unit at the Office of Student Development and Services at the Commission on Higher Education who expressed her continued support of esports development programs like the PCC, and Mr. Manjean Faldas, esports shoutcaster, content creator, and the Brand Ambassador for the PCC.

PCC Season 4: Expanding the Battlefield Across the Philippines

For PCC Season 4, the tournament lineup features mainstay titles Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and Call of Dutyยฎ: Mobile โ€“ Garena (CODM), alongside the highly anticipated addition of a third game. With a total league prize pool of PHP 750,000, college students from across the country are invited to compete for regional and national glory.

Representatives from Call of Dutyยฎ: Mobile โ€“ Garena highlighted a strengthened partnership with the PCC and a commitment to helping grow the competitive ecosystem by joining the Campus Roadshows and increasing opportunities for the community to connect to its ecosystem of esports professionals and content creators.

The PCC team also teased a third game joining the official tournament titles for Season 4, and promised to reveal more details as well as the tournament schedule for all three games soon. The Open Cup, Regional, and National Leagues of the PCC are open to all registered student teams across the Philippines. Winning teams will be joined by champion teams from 4 partnered school associations: SCUAA, FESSAP, CESAFI, and the Davao Esports Enthusiast Association to form the final pool heading into the Grand Finals for each game title to be held at Campus Playfest 2026, the largest collegiate celebration of everything esports, gaming, cosplay, hobbies, and most importantly, community..

The program is supported by its three strategic pillars: Education, Leagues, and Experiences. Key initiatives include the Campus Roadshow and industry-led Esports Masterclass sessions, looking to visit more than 20 schools and garner over 1,500 participants. The Next Gen program aims to have over 300 participating student teams this season. This time, students will go through a Hackathon-styled competition, with winning teams earning a cultural immersion trip to connect with students in Thailand, as well as attend the Thailand Game Show to complete their experience.
