“Ragnarok X: Next Generation” or ROX has officially announced a major update arriving on June 16, bringing the long-awaited Doram class to adventurers across the region.
This update will not stop at a new class. ROX will also open major new servers, introduce a new cross-zone PVE competition, and host a large on-site celebration under the theme Fantasy Firefly Banquet. The celebration will also include a collaboration with a cat rescue foundation, connecting the warmth of Midgard with real-world support for cats in need.
Registration for the on-site event is now open through the official ROX event page.

Doram brings cute power to the battlefield
Starting June 16, adventurers can experience the new Doram class. Unlike previous classes, Doram uses high mobility and unique summoning mechanics to create more unpredictable battle situations.
The class will arrive with 2 paths: Soulbeast and Wildclaw.
Soulbeast focuses on physical attacks and precise target hunting. As a fierce battlefield predator, this class can control the Spirit of Savage to charge through defenses and use multi-stage jumps to strike enemies in the backline.
Wildclaw takes the magical support route. This class can control important battle zones with area-based magic while supporting teammates through skills such as Bunch of Shrimp and Tuna Party. Whether players are clearing large dungeons or fighting in position-heavy battles, Wildclaw can become a powerful team support option.

Fantasy Firefly Banquet comes to SEA players
To celebrate the update, ROX will host the Fantasy Firefly Banquet on the afternoon of June 27 at Samyan Mitrtown, Bangkok.
At the event, adventurers can step into the role of Doram and enter a secret party hosted by Moonlight Flower deep inside the forest. The venue will feature limited Doram-themed souvenirs, including luggage tags, refrigerator magnets, picnic mats, pet hats, and limited photo albums.
Lucky players will also have a chance to receive rewards such as Refine+14, Refine+1, and up to 2 million Crystals. Rewards are limited and will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event will also welcome a cat rescue foundation. A consultation area for stray cat adoption will be available at the venue, encouraging players to learn more about caring for and adopting stray cats.
Every player interaction at the event will also be converted into support items such as cat food or cat treats. Through this activity, ROX and its players can help improve the lives of cats that need care.

Two new servers open with different player goals
On June 16, the new Star Region server area will open alongside the new version of ROX. Two new server groups will launch at the same time, giving different types of players a fresh place to begin or return.
The first is Reborn Land, a server aimed at returning players. Instead of judging players only by spending history, this server uses past activity as the basis for bonus returns. The system checks factors such as active days and character progress, then converts that history into Diamond and Crystal rewards.
This approach gives long-time players a smoother way to return without heavy pressure. It also shows appreciation for adventurers who previously spent time growing with the game.
The second is Pure Land, a new fair-start server focused on equal benefits for everyone. New accounts will receive a valuable selectable gold card, while real-time development packs during the first week will help players progress quickly in a transparent environment.
Cross-zone PVE competition begins a new gold gear era
The update will also introduce the first large-scale cross-zone PVE competition in ROX, called MVP Hunting Race.
This event marks the start of what the game calls the gold gear for all era. Players who join the competition can obtain random gold equipment and gold card chests through drops or shop exchanges. These chests may contain top-tier unbound equipment.
Ranking rewards will also include Live pet selection chests, helping players reduce the time needed for Life Skills and making daily progress more manageable.
The competition will include qualifiers, group knockout rounds, and a final round. Players who reach Lv.60 can form parties of 5 to 8 members, with 5 active players and up to 3 substitutes.
The mode uses a special structure where 8 teams compete on the same map to earn points. The top 4 teams from each match will advance, creating a large-scale PVE race built around strategy, speed, and teamwork.
About Ragnarok X: Next Generation
Ragnarok X: Next Generation is an official sequel based on the Ragnarok Online IP. The game brings Midgard to life with high-quality 3D visuals, social systems, and a wide online adventure experience for players.
THIS IS our take
The Doram update feels like one of the strongest moves for ROX this year. A new class already gives players a reason to return, but the combination of fresh servers, a major PVE competition, and a community event makes the update feel bigger than a simple content patch. The cat foundation collaboration also fits Doram’s identity well, giving the campaign a warmer and more memorable real-world connection. For SEA players who love Ragnarok’s social energy, June 16 could be a strong comeback moment.
