Netmarble has released a major update for its anime-style open-world RPG The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin.

The update introduces a new knight, a new land, fresh story content, and multiple in-game events for players to enjoy.

The highlight of this update is the arrival of Merlin, a member of the Seven Deadly Sins who carries the Boar’s Sin of Gluttony. She is known for her vast knowledge and her endless pursuit of truth.

Merlin Joins as a Powerful Mage

Merlin joins the roster as a versatile mage who can fight using different weapon types, including magic tomes, rods, and staffs.

Her battle style changes depending on the weapon players choose.

When equipped with a magic tome, Merlin can work as a main damage dealer by using Ice Mark effects. When using a staff, she can summon a clone to make Burst effects easier to trigger.

This gives players several ways to build Merlin depending on their preferred combat role.

To celebrate Merlin’s arrival, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is also holding special events where players can earn various rewards, including Merlin’s exclusive magic tome, Divine Artifact: Aldan of Venus.

Act 14 Expands the Story

The update also adds a new story chapter, Act 14: Trap of Time.

In this new chapter, players will follow traces from the Boar Hat tavern and explore desert ruins. Their journey leads toward the secrets of Taranis, waiting at the end of the path.

A new land called Sacred Imprisonment Zone has also been added.

This mysterious ruin is hidden behind a violent desert storm. It introduces 7 new harvestable materials, giving players more reasons to explore the open world.

New Raid Dungeon and More Content

The update adds more content for adventurers to challenge.

New additions include the raid dungeon Taranis Sanctuary, expanded Dimensional Crossroads zones 5 and 6, 2 new hidden animals, and new crafting recipes.

To make character growth easier, players can now receive elite boss rewards without using Cube Keys.

This should help players progress more smoothly while still enjoying the game’s combat and exploration systems.

Login Events and Merlin Trial Event

Players can also join a login event to receive useful rewards simply by entering the game.

Rewards include Special Mastery EXP, Knight Selection Draw Tickets, and Shiny Engraving Seals.

The login event also gives players Star Fragment x100 every day for 14 days, for a total of up to 1,400 Star Fragments during the event period.

Players can also join the Merlin Trial Event and Path of the Conqueror event. In Path of the Conqueror, players can collect tokens through missions and exchange them for rewards of their choice.
