MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ Reveals Powerful Intel G3 Chip

MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ Officially Revealed With Intel Arc G3 Extreme

MSI has officially launched the Claw 8 EX AI+, its latest handheld gaming device that many players have been waiting for.

The device comes in an eye-catching Void Purple color and stands as one of the first handheld gaming devices powered by Intel Arc G3 Extreme, a new chip that was introduced only a few days earlier.

MSI developed this model from the previous Claw 8 AI+ to push the handheld gaming experience even further.

Powered by Intel Panther Lake

The heart of the device is an Intel Panther Lake family SoC. It comes with up to 14 CPU cores and a GPU using Xe3 architecture with up to 12 cores.

This allows the device to handle demanding workloads and graphically heavy games smoothly without needing an external graphics card.

The Arc B39 graphics chip also helps games run with higher and more stable frame rates, making the device suitable for gamers who want strong performance in a portable form.

8-Inch FHD+ Display With 120Hz Refresh Rate

For the display, MSI still uses an 8-inch IPS-level panel with FHD+ resolution.

The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate and VRR technology for smoother visuals. It also reaches up to 500 nits of brightness, allowing games to remain clear even in bright environments.

The display also focuses on accurate and realistic colors, making it suitable for modern games with detailed visuals.

Strong Memory, Storage, and Audio

For memory and storage, the device comes with up to 32 GB LPDDR5X RAM, which supports multitasking and demanding games.

Storage uses an NVMe M.2 Gen 4.0 SSD, allowing games to load quickly.

MSI also gives attention to the audio system. The device includes 2 2W speakers with TD Audio processing and Hi-Res Audio certification.

Modern Connectivity and 80Wh Battery

The Claw 8 EX AI+ also comes with modern connectivity options, including WiFi 7 and Bluetooth v6 for more stable wireless use.

The device includes 2 Thunderbolt 4 ports, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

For battery life, MSI includes an 80Wh battery, which should deliver usage similar to the previous model. The device is also slightly lighter than before by around 10 grams, making it easier to carry.

Expected Release and Price

MSI has not yet announced the official price.

However, rumors suggest that the device may launch at around $1,499, or approximately 48,900 baht. The device is expected to go on sale on June 23.

For players looking for a powerful handheld gaming device built around Intel hardware, the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ could become one of the most interesting options to watch this year.

MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ looks like a serious upgrade for handheld PC gaming. With Intel Arc G3 Extreme, an 8-inch 120Hz display, strong memory, fast storage, modern connectivity, and an 80Wh battery, MSI clearly wants this device to compete in the premium handheld space. The final price will matter, but the specs already make it worth watching.
