Tokyo Game Show 2026 Ignites Epic 30th Hype

Tokyo Game Show 2026 Starts Its 30th Anniversary Push

Tokyo Game Show 2026 is officially building hype for one of its biggest years yet.

The event will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026. It will also run for 5 days for the first time in TGS history.

TGS 2026 will take place from September 17 to September 21, 2026, at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. The organizers include Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association, also known as CESA, with Nikkei BP and Sony Music Solutions as co-organizers.

This year’s theme points to the longest TGS yet. The Japanese promotional line describes it as the longest 5 days of endless play.

For fans in Southeast Asia (SEA), this is another major event to watch. TGS often brings big reveals, playable demos, game industry updates, and Japan-focused announcements with global impact.

Zashikiwarashi Returns For The Key Visual

The 2026 key visual comes from illustrator Zashikiwarashi.

The artist also worked on last year’s TGS visual. This year, Zashikiwarashi returns to create the anniversary artwork with a more energetic and flashy direction.

The teaser visual features a figure wearing a white shirt with the 30th anniversary logo. It also includes Makuhari Messe and a pentagon-like symbol with different colors on each side.

That colorful design reflects the event’s packed anniversary direction. It suggests a wider range of activities, presentations, and fan experiences.

The full main visual will be revealed later through official channels. For now, the teaser already sets a celebratory tone.

TGS BOOSTERZ Brings Influencers Worldwide

The organizers also announced the return of TGS BOOSTERZ.

This official influencer project aims to share the appeal of Tokyo Game Show with fans worldwide. The group includes celebrities, creators, streamers, reviewers, and creative personalities from Japan and overseas.

For the 30th anniversary, TGS 2026 plans to feature 30 BOOSTERZ members in total. They will share event information, social media posts, videos, and real-time excitement from the venue.

The first wave includes Ella Freya, Kayane, Junpei Zaki & Taizo Zaki, and Shao Dow.

This lineup gives TGS more global reach before the event even begins.

Ella Freya Joins The First BOOSTERZ Wave

One of the most notable names is Ella Freya.

Many gamers know her as the face model for Ashley Graham in Resident Evil 4 Remake. She has a large global following and often shares Japanese culture, games, anime, and fashion with international audiences.

Her involvement should help TGS connect with more global fans. She also brings strong recognition among Resident Evil players.

For fans who followed Resident Evil 4 Remake, seeing Ella Freya promote Tokyo Game Show 2026 adds extra excitement.

The first BOOSTERZ wave also includes Kayane, a well-known figure in the fighting game and gaming scene, alongside Junpei Zaki & Taizo Zaki and rapper Shao Dow.

Ticket Giveaway Campaign Now Running

Tokyo Game Show 2026 is also holding a ticket giveaway campaign.

The campaign celebrates the release of the teaser video. It runs through the official Tokyo Game Show X account, @tokyo_game_show.

Three pairs of public day tickets will be given away, for 6 winners in total. The campaign runs from May 12 to May 31, 2026.

Participants must follow the official TGS X account and quote-repost the campaign post. They must include a comment about their TGS memories or expectations for TGS 2026.
