Roblox AI Push Adds Top Founders for Realistic Worlds

Roblox Pushes AI Ambitions With Top Founders and New World-Building Tech

Roblox is moving forward with a major AI push by bringing in technology and talent from Morpheus AI, along with skilled founders from Dynamics Lab and Lucid AI.

The goal is to support Roblox’s vision of virtual worlds that can respond in real time, look more realistic, and feel more interactive for players and creators.

One of the key technologies comes from Morpheus AI. Its Self Forcing technology, created by Xun Huang, aims to make video models work faster and turn them into engines that can generate visuals more quickly.

Roblox Reality Gets a Major AI Boost

The main goal of this move is to push Roblox Reality to the next level.

Roblox plans to use Pixel Latent Space video models to simulate real-world physics and dynamics more effectively. By combining Morpheus AI’s world models with the power of the Roblox engine, the platform aims to create sharper surfaces, more realistic lighting, and smoother movement.

At the same time, the core Roblox engine will still handle complex game logic and synchronize large numbers of players in the same experience.

Dynamics Lab Adds Real-Time World Creation

Dynamics Lab founder Joe Chen also joined Roblox in late 2025, bringing flexible real-time world creation technology with him.

This technology allows players to upload photos, drawings, or even children’s sketches and turn them into interactive worlds that they can enter almost immediately.

It also supports text prompts, allowing users to create surreal events or unusual scenes before quickly sharing a link so friends can join the experience.

This could make world creation easier and faster for more Roblox users, especially creators who want to build without starting from a blank canvas.

Lucid AI Focuses on Stable AI Worlds

Lucid AI founder Alberto Hojel is also joining the effort with ideas focused on AI world stability.

His work centers on combining beautiful visuals with reliable game logic. Hojel created a Roblox game cartridge harness, which helps combine the strengths of video world models with the accuracy of traditional game engines.

This is an important piece of the larger vision because Roblox does not only want AI-generated scenes. It wants AI-powered worlds that still have clear rules, stories, and reliable multiplayer gameplay.

2K and 60Hz Are the Technical Goals

The long-term target for Roblox Reality is to render worlds at 2K resolution and 60Hz.

This is a difficult technical goal, so the team plans to move its Super Upsampler video model to Edge Data Centers powered by high-end H200 or B200 GPUs.

The use of Morpheus AI’s Long Context technology should also help keep visuals consistent throughout gameplay, allowing creator-made experiences to remain more stable and believable.

A Bigger Step Toward Photorealistic Multiplayer Worlds

The combination of a game engine and video models could become the key to unlocking multiplayer worlds that look far more realistic than before.

By bringing talent from Morpheus AI, Dynamics Lab, and Lucid AI into one place, Roblox hopes to speed up the development of new features and create a stronger environment for future AI-powered experiences.

If the technology works as planned, players may eventually see Roblox worlds that are more detailed, more responsive, and more realistic than anything currently available on the platform.

Roblox has always been about giving creators the tools to build their own worlds. This AI push could make that process faster and more powerful. If photos, sketches, and text prompts can become playable spaces with reliable multiplayer logic, Roblox may open the door to a new wave of creator-made experiences. The big challenge will be keeping these worlds stable, fun, and accessible while pushing for more realistic visuals.
