THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK Adds Nakoruru Today
Netmarble has released a new update for its AFK RPG THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, bringing a new Legend fighter and several limited-time events that players should not miss.
The highlight of this update is the arrival of Nakoruru, a new Legend fighter with the [Steadfast] synergy. Known as an Ainu shaman with mysterious power and a deep connection to nature, Nakoruru fights to protect the natural world and carries the spirit of nature into battle.
Players can now experience her unique skills in THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK, including Amube Yatoro and Kushinauke Chikannakki Mutsube.
Nakoruru pickup event is now live
To celebrate her arrival, THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK is holding a special Nakoruru Pickup Event.
The event is available now until June 10, giving players a better chance to obtain the new fighter. A separate [Steadfast] Synergy Fighter Summon Event is also available during the same period, giving players more opportunities to strengthen teams built around the new synergy.
For players who want to add Nakoruru to their lineup, this is the best time to try.
Lucky LP and Green Therapy events offer more rewards
The update also brings additional in-game events.
The Lucky LP Event will run from June 1 to June 5. During this event, players will have a chance to obtain the Legend supporter Shiki.
Another event, Green Therapy, will run from June 4 to June 17. This event gives players a chance to meet Legend pets Ririru and Cattra.
With these events running across different dates, players will have multiple reasons to log in, collect rewards, and strengthen their roster throughout the update period.
THE KING OF FIGHTERS returns in pixel-style AFK form
THE KING OF FIGHTERS AFK is based on SNK’s iconic The King of Fighters IP.
The game reimagines memorable fighters with pixel art graphics inspired by the style familiar to players from THE KING OF FIGHTERS R-2 on NEOGEO POCKET COLOR. Players can build teams using their favorite fighters and enjoy powerful battles in a more casual AFK RPG format.
The game also allows players to create strategic decks by combining fighters and different team formations. According to the original announcement, players can build teams through different formation styles ranging from at least 5 to as many as 25 possible setups.
