Vertu has officially launched Alphafold, its latest luxury foldable phone. The device comes with an intelligent AI Agent system designed to connect with enterprise-level software and manage professional tasks more efficiently.

The launch price for the calfskin leather model starts at $6,880. For users who want something even more premium, Vertu also offers special versions using crocodile leather, 18K gold, and natural diamonds.
According to Molly Ma, CEO of Vertu, the highest customized model can reach $46,800. This clearly reinforces Vertu’s strategy of positioning the device as a luxury status symbol for high-end customers.
Hermes Agent Brings Enterprise AI Features
The key feature of Alphafold is Hermes Agent, which was developed from an open-source project by Nous Research.
This system allows the phone to connect with company ERP or CRM software. It can help manage documents, approve workflows, check sales figures, and summarize operational reports through natural language commands.
Supports Leading AI Models
Another major strength of the phone is its support for several leading AI models. These include GPT from OpenAI, Claude from Anthropic, and Gemini from Google.
The device can also connect with more than 80 applications, allowing it to support complete cross-platform work processes. This makes it a professional-focused device with features that typical phones in the market cannot easily match.
Security Comes First
For security, Alphafold uses an A5 security chip. This chip separates important data, such as authentication keys and biometric information, from the main operating system.
This allows highly sensitive data to be processed directly on the device while reducing the risk of leaks. However, the system has not yet received external certification at this time. Vertu plans to move forward with verification later.
Premium Specs and Global Shipping
The Alphafold also comes with powerful hardware. It uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, an 8.05-inch foldable display, a 6,500 mAh battery, and support for satellite communication.
The first batch includes 115 units, which will begin shipping to customers worldwide this week. For Vertu, this marks a major bet as the brand adjusts its luxury image for the age of AI.
Vertu Alphafold clearly does not aim for the mass market. This is a luxury device built for executives, collectors, and buyers who want status with serious AI tools. The price will be out of reach for most users, but its enterprise AI direction makes it more interesting than a simple luxury phone wrapped in premium materials.
